About this recruitment

IPRC recruitment under Advertisement IPRC/RMT/2026/01 for three Fireman ‘A’ posts, Post Code 71. The posts are temporary but likely to continue indefinitely; initial posting is at IPRC, Mahendragiri, Tamil Nadu, with liability for posting at ISRO or Department of Space units anywhere in India. Selection comprises written test, qualifying Physical Efficiency Test and detailed medical examination; qualifying in the prescribed physical events and medical examination is required. Selected Fireman ‘A’ staff must stay in IPRC essential staff quarters.

Eligibility and requirements

Education / qualification

Pass in SSLC/SSC/Matriculation/10th standard; satisfy the Fireman ‘A’ physical fitness standards, upload a Preliminary Medical Examination (PME) certificate with the online application, and submit the PME certificate during the skill test. The PME certificate must be issued by a Government Medical Officer (Allopathy) of at least Assistant Civil Surgeon rank in Government Health Services and be valid for six months.

Eligibility

Only Indian nationals may apply. The prescribed qualification and any required experience must be held by 5 October 2026 and must be from a recognized State Board/University. Exact prescribed qualifications are required; equivalent courses are not accepted. The age limit is calculated as of 5 October 2026. Applicable age relaxation is available under Government of India orders; SC/ST relaxation is 5 years and OBC relaxation is 3 years where the post is reserved for that category. Of three vacancies, two are UR and one OBC; one post is reserved for Ex-Servicemen. Physical standards, medical requirements and disqualifying conditions apply; consult the full notice.
