About this recruitment
Canara Bank’s FY 2026–27 notice offers 3,500 Graduate Apprentice training seats across States/UTs, with state-wise seat counts and local-language requirements in the notice. Training lasts 12 months at selected branches, with district assignment within the one State/UT chosen by the applicant. The stipend is ₹16,650 per month including the Government subsidy. Apprentices are not Canara Bank employees, and the Bank has no obligation to offer regular employment during or after training.
Eligibility and requirements

- A degree in any discipline from a university recognized by the Government of India, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government. Graduation must have been completed between 1 January 2023 and 1 September 2026, inclusive.

- Indian citizens aged 20–28 as of 1 September 2026 (born 2 September 1998 through 1 September 2006, inclusive), subject to the notice’s category relaxations: SC/ST 5 years, OBC-NCL 3 years, PwBD 10 years, and eligible widowed/divorced/legally separated women who have not remarried up to age 35 (General/EWS), 38 (OBC) or 40 (SC/ST). Applicants must meet the notice’s 12th-standard (HSC/10+2) or diploma minimum of 60% (55% for SC/ST/PwBD); merit is state-wise and based on those marks. Candidates who previously underwent apprenticeship training, are currently undergoing it, or have one or more years of job experience after completing their educational qualification are ineligible. A 10th/12th certificate showing the opted state’s local language may exempt a candidate from the language test.

Before applying to Canara Bank, register on the NATS apprenticeship portal and complete the profile to 100%; retain the enrollment ID. Then apply online through the linked IBPS portal from 1–17 October 2026 and provide the NATS enrollment ID. Choose training seats in only one State/UT and rank the districts offered there; the Bank may allot any district in that selected State/UT. Pay the applicable fee online. No other application mode is accepted.
